The Match-making Tool is a website that aims at facilitating the development of synergies between Energy Communities and asset owners, municipal or private. The website has been funded by the European Union Life programme – LifeLOOP – Local Ownership of Power (Grant Agreement 101077085). The website is managed by Electra Energy Cooperative.

Electra Energy Cooperative (GEMI Registration number: 166251161000 ) is a social enterprise (under Greek Law 4430/2016) working since 2016 for the transition to a democratic, inclusive, and sustainable energy system with citizens at its core. The registered address is Olympionikon Street 7, Ilioupolis, PC 16342 Athens, Greece.

The below privacy policy explains how Electra Energy Cooperative (« we », « us ») may collect, store and process your personal data, for which purpose, and what are your data protection rights.

How do we collect information from you?

We collect your personal data when you register on our platform;
We collect additional personal data when you create a profile;
We collect personal data when you use the contact form on the website;
We collect data about your project when you create and upload an asset.
To make this site work properly, we sometimes place small data files called cookies on your device. Most websites do this too. Our use of cookies is described in the cookie statement.

What kind of personal data we collect, store and process?

The personal data we may collect, store, and process are: your name and surname, your country, your password, the organisation you work for, your uploaded assets and projects, the languages you use on the plarform, your subscriptions, and the information you provide when creating your profile.
When you create a profile, we may collect, store, and process the following information: the name of the entity you represent, the logo of your entity, the website of your energy community or the local authority, the contact email address, the address, the activities of your entity, and a description of your entity. Additionally, we collect all the information provided by you when you upload an asset.

What do we use and process your personal data for?

We may use your personal data in order to:
• Enable other users to contact you or your energy community/local authority.
• Contact you about the status of your user profile.
• Analyse your use of the website to improve it.
You may also choose to contact us directly via contact forms or e-mail. If you choose to contact us directly, we will only use the personal data you have provided to us for the purposes of responding to your message.

Who has access to your information?

We will never sell or lease your information to third parties. Furthermore, we will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
As part of our work, however, we might carefully share personal information with project partners – as indicated above, the Match-making Tool is a collective effort of the LifeLOOP’s partners– in order to facilitate the development of synergies between Energy Communities and local authorities.
Your data might be shared with the European Commission and its staff in charge of the management of EU funded grants and their contractors for ex-post controls. The processing of personal data by the European Commission is covered by their own specific Regulation (2018/1725).
We use IT-solutions of third parties such as WordPress or Google Analytics. WordPress has committed to be compliant with the GDPR-regulation.

Where and how long will your data be stored?

Your personal data will be kept with us until you notify our data protection officer Ioanna Angelaki at ioanna@electraenergy.coop, that you would like your information to be erased.

You have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and have the right to transmit those data to another controller.
